2008 is finally here, and boy has Australia seen a mixed bag of weather over the last 2 weeks, with massive 40 degree heat in the south, to Cyclones and Flooding in the South East. I think we can safely say that Climate Change is here.
Queensland was again the hot spot for Holiday makers this Christmas, however they had to endure the worst weather we have experienced for some time, indeed Fraser Island was evacuated due to the Cyclonic conditions. But here's the rub, even though it was horrendous weather, the UV was hitting levels of 16, thats EXTREME.
So, thats a reminder to most people that even though the sun is not out, you can still get burnt. So please remember, Sunscreen should be applied everyday, not just when you are going to the Beach.
Just heard on the Weather Channel, that another Low Depression is forming off our coast again, so batten down the hatches, but remember your SunScreen. Block the Sun, Not the Fun!
